So the news just broke out that the Nintendo Switch sold over 155 million units worldwide, which is about 5 million units shy of the updated sales figures for the PlayStation 2 at 160 million.

So here's a video short where I started up both my Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 2 just for the heck of it, possibly because of this moment.

(And BTW, that 160 million units sold for the PlayStation 2 might have happened around late 2012/early 2013, considering that it was discontinued in January 2013, and the 155 million units for the PlayStation 2 was announced publicly back in March of 2012 (there was no official announcement about the 160 million units number until November of 2024). I have very low hopes (and I stress the word "very" there) of seeing the PlayStation 2 releasing plenty more units just to beat Nintendo out of the water again in terms of best-selling consoles (e.g. 170–180 million units), because that's just pure trolling (and possibly even rage bait). I'm serious.)

(Also I just wanted to see how fast they can boot up to the menu screen BTW)
