Tommy Fleming (feat. Phil Coulter) - Stealaway

Описание к видео Tommy Fleming (feat. Phil Coulter) - Stealaway

This is taken from Disc 1 of Tommy's 2005 concert at the Basilica in Knock, Ireland.

Tommy Fleming is establishing himself as one of the great male vocalists of Ireland. Tommys first big break came when Phil Coulter heard him perform back in 1990 and asked him to join his orchestra. This led to two tours of America with Phil where they played such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall and Boston Symphony Hall. Then Tommy was introduced to the traditional band De Dannan and toured with them for three years. He was the vocalist on their album Hibernian Rhapsody. Tommy then launched a solo career recording three albums. Tommys latest product a concert at Knock Basilica has been recorded on a double CD and DVD entitled Voice of Hope

I only recently came across this CD whist clearing out my room, I'd completly forgotten I'd brought it...

Being the Coulter fan that I am I'm always on the look out for artists who cover his tracks. Some are brilliant (Josef Locke, The Dubliners, etc), some not so (Gary Óg and Kevin Collins)... But every so often I come across an artist that just blows me away and Tommy Fleming is one of them. His voice is uniquie and such a joy to listen to. Y'know what, and this isn't just cause I'm a fan of Phil's work, I'm inclined to agree with Phil when he liked him (Tommy Fleming) to "The next Luke Kelly".
