5 40ft. Shipping Containers Transformed into 4 Bedroom House. Shipping Container Home in Thailand. In this video, we bring you a Shipping Container Home in Thailand. This creative family container home was constructed using 5 x 40' shipping Containers. The five containers have been creatively combined to create a distinctive, eco-friendly and large family dwelling. The house has low-maintenance features and is finished to high standards, with plenty of natural light. The shipping containers on the main house are perched two on two, in a cantilevered design creating a total of 1280 sq.ft of luxury living. The containers below are elevated off the ground sitting on a concrete foundation. The 5th 40' container separated from the main house by a parking area accommodates more bedrooms. The containers on the second floor are cantilevered to create a covered entrance porch at the front, and an exposed rooftop terrace at the back.
