Before Ghaus Khan is able to inform Laxmibai about the British ploy, a knife is thrown at his back. An injured Ghaus Khan informs Laxmibai that all their soldiers have been killed. Seeing the British Army outnumbering theirs, Tatya Guru tells Laxmibai that they must leave Jhansi but looking at the atrocities being inflicted on her subjects, she decides to fight them. Tatya Guru says that Jhansi would be orphaned if anything untoward were to happen to her. Chimnabai says that their homes have been set afire and vows never to forgive Laxmibai if her unborn baby was hurt. Laxmibai asks Tatya Guru and the others to escape but decides to stay back herself. Laxmibai vows to die for Jhansi. Nelson says that Jhansi is theirs and they only need to finish off the Queen of Jhansi. Rose scolds Nelson for wanting to kill the woman who had saved his family! She says that she is ashamed to be his wife and wishes that she was born an Indian so that she could have got a chance to serve the Queen of Jhansi. Meanwhile, when Laxmibai is bravely fighting with the British soldiers, someone renders her unconscious and takes her away. At Jhansi Fort, Nelson and his confidantes are worried that Laxmibai is nowhere to be seen. Nelson orders that she be brought to him at any cost. Later, Tatya Guru looks at an unconscious Laxmibai and apologises for his act but says that he had no choice because Jhansi needed her alive, and that they must fulfil their dream of driving the British out of their motherland. The evil Rao Dulajo is witness to this. Meanwhile, total gloom descends on Jhansi as bodies are cremated. On the other hand, Lord Dalhousie is ecstatic hearing that Jhansi was finally theirs, and their flag would be unfurled on Jhansi Fort the next morning.
