Full Spray under Tint on 10ft Long Fish Surfboard - Glassing How To -Twin Fin Glass on -Retro Flames

Hopefully this is an insight into why surfboards are so expensive. This board took me 40 hours over 8 days to shape and glass. It cost £450 in raw materials and overheads (Rent + Electricity) So £450 + (40 x £20 per hour) = £1250. This is not adding on any profit margin and i only get paid when the board sells. I am pretty lucky as my overheads are relatively low. Glass shops would have higher overheads but their hours would be slightly less due to more efficient from production. Something to bear in mind when ordering your next custom surfboard. Thanks for watching.
