Arietta, op. 68, no. 4 – Horatio Parker (1863-1919)

Horatio Parker was a major figure in American music in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. An organist and pedagogue, Parker a prolific composer, writing for chorus, organ, and piano as well as making notable contributions to opera, chamber music, and the symphony. This Arietta is from Parker’s Five short pieces for organ published in 1908.
