Описание к видео How to Build Highly Available Kubernetes Clusters on AWS | K8s Series By M. Sharma (On Demand)

This video* walkthrough you with basics understanding of the Kubernetes and how to build highly available K8s (8 is the number of letters b/w K & S) Cluster from scratch. This interactive tutorial assumes you have some basic knowledge of Containerization, how to operate with AWS as Cloud Providers (or other cloud providers such as GCP, Azure etc.), how to launch your nodes/servers and have some basic understanding of Linux commands.

About K8s -
Kubernetes is a portable, extensible, open-source platform for managing containerized workloads and services, that facilitates both declarative configuration and automation. When you deploy Kubernetes, you get a cluster.
A Kubernetes cluster consists of a set of worker machines, called nodes (servers/instances), that run containerized applications. Every cluster has at least one worker node (In our case, we deploy 2 Worker nodes). The worker node(s) host the Pods that are the components of the application workload. The control plane manages the worker nodes and the Pods in the cluster. In production environments, the control plane usually runs across multiple computers and a cluster usually runs multiple nodes, providing fault-tolerance and high availability.

Pre-requisites (For Control Plane/Master):
One or more machines running one of:
1. Ubuntu 16.04+
2. Debian 9+
3. CentOS 7+
4. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7+
5. Fedora 25+
6. HypriotOS v1.0.1+
7. Flatcar Container Linux (tested with 2512.3.0)
2 GB or more of RAM per machine (any less will leave little room for your apps).
2 CPUs or more.
Full network connectivity between all machines in the cluster (public or private network is fine).
Certain ports are open on your machines (check your Security Groups Inbound Rules and if deploying inside the Private VPC check your Network ACL inbound and outbound rules).
Swap disabled. You MUST disable swap in order for the kubelet to work properly.

Session Level: Intermediate

- In the video, I forget to perform one step earlier after installing the Containerd (CRI) which I performed and run it in the last. (That step only requires by you, when you want to change the config.toml). Note - By default Containerd has cgroupfs as Crgroup Driver name. If you want to use different Cgroup Driver you have to set-up the configuration accordingly.
To learn more about it refer to - https://containerd.io/
