On January 15, 2016, the Producers of Spring Awakening in association with The Broadway League presented "How to Make Broadway More Accessible: A Symposium" at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

This discussion of accessibility on Broadway and in theater featured opening remarks by Producer Ken Davenport, a keynote address by Timothy Shriver, Chairman of the Special Olympics, and a panel moderated by Victoria Bailey, Executive Director of TDF and featuring panelists Victor Calise, Commissioner of the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities, Lisa Goring, Executive Vice President of Autism Speaks, David J. Kurs, Artistic Director of Deaf West Theatre, and Annie Leist, Special Projects Lead of Art Beyond Sight.
