Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu chaired a high-level state cabinet meeting today at the Secretariat to review administrative progress and regional reorganization. A key highlight was the discussion on the Rayachoti district headquarters. The CM explained the complex logistical challenges, noting that while Rajampet MLA Ram Prasad Reddy is advocating for a district centered there, local preferences—with Rajampet leaning toward Kadapa and Railway Koduru toward Tirupati—necessitated shifts for Rayachoti. The cabinet also deliberated on streamlining administrative boundaries, proposing the formation of new mandals and resolving discrepancies in Nellore’s revenue divisions. Naidu concluded by reflecting on the successes of 2025 and setting a high benchmark for 2026.
