Oasis - Wonderwall [Mellotron Track]

Mellotron track including both mellotron parts played by Bonehead, the shaker, the guitar section from the “and all the roads…” parts, and the ending piano.

Despite what the music video and the live renditions would lead most people to believe, there are no strings in this song, they didn’t have any for none of the tracks for this album. Instead they used a mellotron that simulates the sound of a cello and a violin, the cello part plays throughout the song starting from the “Backbeat the word is on the street…” part and the violin comes in during the chorus, one part was played by Bonehead and the other by Noel.

This track was taken from the Multitrack file that was used in the Rock Band games, songs like Live Forever, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Champagne Supernova (and many others) all have multitrack files available for download online if anyone’s interested.

Other means of obtaining isolated studio tracks are through the 5.1 SACD version of morning glory, each song has 6 channels but most have multiple instruments in them
