Fluid Mechanics Lesson Series - Lesson 11C: Navier-Stokes Solutions, Cylindrical Coordinates.

In this 15-minute video, Professor Cimbala reviews the vector and Cartesian coordinate forms of the continuity and Navier-Stokes equations. He then shows these same equations in cylindrical coordinates, where he also discusses an alternate form for some of the viscous terms in the theta-component of the Navier-Stokes equation. Finally, he goes through the step-by-step procedure to solve an example problem in cylindrical coordinates: fully developed laminar pipe flow.

This video incorporates material from Section 9-6 of the Fluid Mechanics textbook by Cengel and Cimbala, edition 4.
