Phase III of our offgrid solar power setup. We’ve installed permanent solar panels on the roof and an upgraded charge controller, which now constantly charges and maintains the health of the deep cycle batteries. We now also have a better power control and wiring set-up, with permanent 12 volt lighting and car accessory power outlets. Using a small power inverter, I can charge my laptop or run a household electric fan.

This is still all an experiment and test of our needs, and at some point we’ll work out what we need and buy some quality gear and expand. But for now, still trying to do this while spending as little as possible!
