2-Owner, Only 130,144 miles The 6.7 liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 is rated at 440 hp and 860 lb-ft of torque. The deep skirted V8 block is made of compacted graphite iron, which Ford claims is about two times stronger than traditional cast iron, all the better to reliably handle that elephantine torque. Four valve aluminum heads help shave 160 pounds off the engine's total weight, but don't look for cams in those heads. A single camshaft in the block actuates all 32 valves with just as many pushrods. Bosch piezo injectors send fuel directly into the combustion chambers with up to 29,000 psi of force. The quick acting injectors are capable of delivering up to five stratified charges (layered squirts of fuel) per combustion cycle. The high pressure, direct injection system pays big benefits in terms of increased power and economy with reduced noise. In traditional diesels, the combustion event happened all at once, making plenty of noise. Stratified fuel injection lengthens the combustion event, making it quieter. New TorqShift six-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift and a Tow/Haul mode. The Super Duty's interior looks like it's heavy duty, and carries over the high quality materials. Driver and passenger air bag, passenger air bag on/off switch. Leather wrapped steering wheel, full gauge package with warning lights, gray cloth front bench seating with drop down center console, big power towing mirrors that are heated, factory seek-scan clock Am/Fm/Mp3/Aux stereo, ice cold a/c, heater that will keep you warm, cruise control that works, plenty of auxiliary power outlets, plenty of cup holders. Front tow hooks, built in back up sensor's. Huge vented rotors and dual piston calipers provide strong consistent stops, even when moving the biggest loads, 4-wheel power disc Anti-Lock brake system ABS. Thick C channel frame, body to frame mounting bolts, are driven from the bottom up. Super Duty are designed for the cost/benefit analysis small businesses and independents use: a simple, fast trailer hookup, 4WD to get in/out of the job site.
