On Epsiode #5 of my series #SaunaKitnaSaunaHain, I am making Sugarcane Juice with Ginger. Sugarcane juice is natures gift to us during the hot summer season. It is an excellent source of instant hydration as it is packed with nutrients and vitamins.

You will need:
-1 1/2 cups Sugarcane, cubed
-1/2 inch piece ginger
-1/2 cup Drinking Water
-1/4 cup Drinking Water
-1/2 tsp Black Salt (Kala Namak)
-Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
-Garnish with a Slice of Lemon

Method:
1) For this recipe, I recommend purchased already peeled and cubed sugarcane cubes. It makes it much more easy, this is available in most grocery stores or local markets in India.
2) In a blender add the sugarcane, ginger and drinking water quantity in two batches to assist the blending.
3) Once you have a nice water based consistency and all the sugarcane has been broken down in the blender, pass this mixture through a sieve. Squeeze out excess juice by pressing down on the pulp of the sugarcane with a spatula.
4) Add Black Salt and juice of 1/2 a lemon to this mixture and mix thoroughly and garnish with a slice of lemon.
