Released in 1989 by Firebird, Rick Dangerous has always been either loved or hated! It is one of those games that pushes you to the edge of a meltdown due to it's apparent 'unfairness'! That said, it's still considered a classic these days and actually in my view has a lot in common with many modern indie titles such as Super Meat Boy & Celeste, with it's repeated deaths and gameplay where you need to memorise parts of each screen in order to successful make your way through.

Oh, if anybody notices too, i did have the cheats on to demonstrate the game, I still can't make it past the first level without them! :p

This game is demonstrated using the Minimig core on a Mister FPGA device, which is 100% recommended for retro gaming enthusiasts who do not want to compromise on system accuracy, benefiting from 'hardware' recreation of the system, far better controller lag times as well as the ability to seamlessly switch between systems in seconds.
