WHAT IS CSA?
CSA is an acronym. It stands for Community Support Agriculture, and when folks buy one of our CSA shares, our farm and hardworking farmers are getting your invaluable support.

WHAT DO YOU GET IN YOUR CSA SHARE?
The best-tasting just-harvested vegetables and fruits with nutritional value that can’t be beat. We call our CSA Share a “Food Share.” You are getting your share of the harvest no matter when you sign up. We offer sign-up options all year round because we are growing, harvesting, canning, and storing food all 365 days of the year. There is food in our fields, in our tunnels, in our greenhouse, in cold storage, in our freezers and refrigerators, on our shelves, and in our Farm Stand all year long. Every day of the year. WOW!

WHY IS THIS UNIQUE?
Yes, we are 100% aware that this is not normal and it is unlike other CSA programs you’ve been part of before. This is how we like it because we are not just farmers. We are eaters, too. Eating is a year-round endeavor! We love our food and we grow lots of extras to SHARE with all of you!

When you buy a Cold Spring Farm CSA Food Share, you are NOT buying a number of weeks you have to commit to showing up for your CSA. You are NOT buying guilt because you just can’t make it to the farm or to the market to shop for your share. You are NOT buying food share gifts for your neighbors because you are away on vacation and can’t get your food.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
When you buy a CSF Food Share, you are buying baskets of produce, in the size of your choosing, and you can come and fill them up whenever you want to! We offer three sizes of these baskets: Squat, Peck, and Half-Bushel. You can sign up for any number of them based on your personal budget or schedule. Once you use up your Food Share Card, you can buy another round of baskets. You can RENEW ANYTIME.

To receive your Food Share at your doorstep, you can opt for delivery service and we will pack it for you, excluding your dislikes of course! OR, you can SHOP for and PACK your own Food Share in our Farm Stand!

To shop for your share, you can do one of two things: come to our Farm Stand any day of the year, or come to our booth at the farmers’ markets in the Summer months.
