Three Years Without Rachel – Still Waiting for Answers

June 4th marks three years since our Rachel Hansen was taken from us.

It’s hard to put into words what this day means. Rachel wasn’t just our daughter, sister, fiancée, or friend — she was the kind of person who showed up for people. She loved animals more deeply than words could ever express — horses especially, but also every puppy, every stray, every creature who just needed kindness. She played soccer with grit, graduated high school early with big dreams, and had a smile that could lift a room. She was strong, driven, a little feisty — and full of quiet faith.

Rachel was found shot in her apartment on June 4, 2022. She had so much life ahead of her. The circumstances of her death still leave us with unanswered questions. We’re grateful to everyone who continues to stand with us, ask hard questions, and push for the truth. Rachel deserves justice. And we will not stop fighting for it.
We carry her with us every single day — in the small things and the big ones. In the way we care for others. In the love we pour into the animals she adored. In the courage to keep going, even when our hearts ache.

Rachel’s absence is felt in ways we can never fully explain, but so is her presence. In every act of kindness, in every story shared, in every life she touched — she’s still here.

We miss you beyond words, Rachel.
We love you always.
And we promise — we’re still walking that road, until we know the truth.
