Playthrough with Gaia. This was the first game in the Toshinden series and Sony heavily promoted it. It went up against Virtua Fighter on the SEGA Saturn, and for some people it came out on top purely because it had more detailed graphics. Then you played it and… yeah. It’s very slow, with movement being extremely sluggish. There is also a lot of very questionable hit detection. It does feature a lot of flashy special moves, and everyone has a desperation attack. It has a sidestep move, allowing you to dodge out of the way of the opponent’s attacks. And it even has a few secret characters for good measure.

Gaia is the boss of the game. Whilst it takes him around 3 hours to land from a jump, he has a very good desperation move which will most likely hit the opponent, even if they try to sidestep it at close range. So whenever your health bar starts flashing, just start using his desperation move to win.

The PlayStation Classic was released in 2018 and quickly forgotten about. To me, the main problem with it is that most of the games I would want to play on it I already had on my PS3. For some reason the games are a mixture of the USA and European versions.
