Residents of Chennai’s 17-storey residential complex fear for safety of their apartment

Jains Westminster apartment, built by Jain Housing and Constructions between 2011 and 2015, located in Saligramam, Chennai, is standing at the verge of a collapse. At the 17-storey building, ceilings collapsing in different floors have now become an everyday occurrence. Chunks of concrete along with rusted iron rods have been falling from the building regularly, narrowly missing children and other passers-by. TNM’s Nidharshana Raju and Nithya Pandian visited the apartment and spoke to the residents. Here is the ground report.
