On February 19, 2022 at 1743 hours Newark F.D. was dispatched to 6624 Chatham Road to provide assistance to Granville FD for a report of a house fire. Several other agencies were dispatched to this run simultaneously to provide automatic aid.

Newton FD Engine-391 (crew of 4) arrived on scene and reported a working fire in a ranch style home. The officer initiated command and radioed the 360 report while I was responding.

I edited the response portion of the video due to it being 9 minutes and 30 seconds. I might post that portion at a later date for those people that are interested.

As I arrived on scene Chief-200 advised me of his location, indicating that I should assume command. We have a great working relationship and we help each other on fires on a regular basis. Furthermore, this video demonstrates how multiple departments can seamlessly work together and obtain outstanding results.

This fire is believed to have started in the attic as a result of a woodburner.

The fire was quickly contained using two 1.75” attack lines and water supplied by tankers (non-hydranted area). There were no injuries at this fire.

This video was recorded with a Motorola Z Force Droid cell phone, which limits the length of each video to about 30 minutes.
