Just in time, the Guardians' offense finally delivered.

Brayan Rocchio belted a go-ahead solo homer in the eighth inning and Bo Naylor followed with a three-run blast to propel Cleveland to a 6-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers in Game 2 of the American League Wild Card Series. The win keeps the Guards' miracle season alive for at least one more day, forcing a winner-take-all Game 3 Thursday at Progressive Field.

Days after ending the regular season with a walk-off home run against the Texas Rangers, Rocchio took a 99 mph fastball from Troy Melton and put it in the lower right-field seats, sending what had been a nervous crowd into a frenzy. Daniel Schneemann later added some big insurance with an RBI double that scored Steven Kwan, and following an intentional walk to José Ramírez, Naylor got a hanging sweeper from lefty reliever Brant Hurter and hit it to almost the exact same spot as Rocchio did.
