This video features staff and patient feedback on our new ambulance offload facility (named the POD – Patient Offload Department), which was installed outside the Royal Gwent Hospital’s Emergency Department in February 2020.

This partnership initiative with the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust enables ambulance patients to be offloaded safely at the hospital, meaning ambulance crews are released more quickly to answer 999 calls from across Gwent.
