In todays video we will be making a Black Garlic Digestif. This is an after dinner drink that you can enjoy with the most incredible and unusual of flavors. Bring it to a party or give it as a gift this has got to be the most unique drink on the planet.

Sweet, Savory, Umami, notes of smokiness, and packs a punch so watch out or this Black Garlic Digestif will sneak up on you.

We are using RioRand's Black Garlic that I bought from Amazon. Of all the Black Garlic I have tried including the stuff I make this is hands down my favorite. We have been asked to demonstrate some creative ways to use black garlic and I thought it would be a fun challenge. Making Black Garlic Vodka:

for 750ml of vodka use 6 bulbs of RioRand's Solo bulb black garlic

Mince black garlic
In a sous vide bag or zip lock bag add the minced black garlic and the vodka.
Set your Immersion Circulator to 135F. Once it reaches the temperature place the bag of vodka/black garlic in the water. Be sure to remove as much air as possible.
Allow to cook for 3 hours.

After 3 hours pour the vodka/black garlic mix through a cheese cloth to strain. Now you have Black Garlic Vodka. You can store this in your freezer and use it for Black Garlic Martinis, Black Garlic Screwdriver, Black Garlic Russian, or even the Black Garlic Bloody Mary...

If you want to make the digestif (like limoncello) add this to the finished product:

Make a simple syrup.
Heat 3 cups of water with 3 cups of sugar on the stove top. Once dissolved take off the heat and place it in the fridge to cool. After your Black Garlic Vodka drink has finished add 1 cup of simple syrup to it at a time and taste till you have reached your desired sweetness.

That's it. Keep your Black Garlic Digestif (after dinner liquor) in the fridge or freezer and serve over ice, with ice cream, give as a gift, the sky is the limits!!
