The new MINI Electric broadens the brands appeal even further. First, there’s a really very sensible £24,300 asking price (after grants), putting it squarely up against… well pretty much every other small EV on the market. It has a modest claimed driving range of 140 miles from a 32.5kWh battery pack, but Mini believes this is the right compromise between cost, range and weight. If your lifestyle means you don’t need to drive long distances every day then an electric car with a smaller battery like this (which is less expensive to make and takes less time to charge) could work well for you.
