A beautiful romantic comedy that follows deaf-mute prankster Barfi as he defies society's rules to find happiness.

Set during the 1970s in idyllic Darjeeling, 'Barfi!' follows the life and loves of Murphy (Ranbir Kapoor), a hearing and speech-impaired boy, who is known as Barfi throughout town.

After falling in love with the beautiful Shruti (Ileana D'Cruz), Barfi's sweet-natured demeanour faces its biggest challenge as Shruti's socially conscious parents force her to marry a more conventional suitor. Her decision sets in motion a chain of events that turn her, and Barfi's, life upside down.

Written and directed by Anurag Basu, Barfi! is a heart-warming comedy about selfless love and finding happiness in the smallest things.
