You need just one stick for this workout. I'm using a 5ft stick, but it can be longer or shorter based on your height and space.

This hour long Stick Mobility workout features joint mobilization, strength training, and active stretching. The focus of this class is working shoulder strength and stability, opening the chest, activating core and grip strength, and mobility work to increase range of motion.

We are working the shoulders in all directions to first identify our weak points and then work to improve mobility and strengthen the musculature of the shoulder. In the process, we'll be opening the chest and stretching the lateral lines of the body. We are using time under tension to build strength and ensure we maintain our newly found ranges of motion with isometric holds in various directions.

As always, go at your own pace. If you need rest or water, take a break. You can also perform fewer repetitions than I am in the video if you'd rather not pause. This will also give you great awareness on where you are so when you come back and do the video again, you can see your progress!


Equipment Needed: 1 Stick and an anchor point on the wall as well as on on the ceiling - the inside of a door jamb is perfect. You may also want a cushion or bolster for under your knees.
