Описание к видео Oxford University Tennis Club | Real Tennis Club Profiles

An introduction to the Oxford University Tennis Club (OUTC), the home of real tennis in Oxford. Located on Merton Street in the heart of Oxford, the court is the 3rd oldest in the UK and 2nd oldest in England still in active use. Used by both students of the University of Oxford and residents of the town of Oxford, it is a great meeting place for a cross-section of the city. It is a court known for it's unusual dimensions and unorthodox tambour angle, and a friendly and active club atmosphere

Real Tennis (also called Court Tennis or Jeu de Paume) is an exhilarating sport played at around 50 courts in the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and France. Despite its long history, it is actively played by thousands of enthusiastic club players and professionals who are attracted to its complexity, athleticism and skill. In this series, we explore some of the tennis courts around the country, learn a little about their history and what they are like today.
