I. SHINJI - Evangelion Symphony | Piano

This is my arrangement of I. SHINJI A-6 from the orchestral live album Evangelion Symphony performed by the New Japan Philharmonic (公益財団法人 新日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団 / Kōeki Zaidan Hōjin Shin Nihon Firuhāmonī Kōkyō Gakudan) - also referred to as the 1997 Philharmonic Version - which was originally composed by Shirō Sagisu / 鷺巣 詩郎.

My intention with this piece was to emphasize the piano - which sounds obvious at first - but I didn't want to just transcribe everything. I wanted to make it fun to play, not too easy, not too difficult and highlight the emotion that this arrangement wouldn't bring out if I just played everything at the normal original tempo without any variations. This is why it may differ so much from the original version but keep in mind this is a piano cover and in my opinion you have to put at least some of your own into a cover to make it yours.
