Alternate story time: Picture another universe. Story takes place 10-15 years after Joker (Arthur was 34 when Joker took place so he'd be 44-49 here) and the Batman has very recently appeared in the city which inspires Ledger's Joker to rise. Him and Harleen, who becomes romanitcally involved with Arthur, help him escape from Arkham. Unknowing to them a third Joker emerges in the form of Jeremiah Valeska, an obsessed Wayne Enterprises employee who knows Bruce's past very well and actually figured out that he's Batman. The story is mostly between Bruce and Jeremiah with the other Jokers getting involved later. It's just a matter of time until their shared interests bring all three together to cause some real mayhem in Gotham.
