Created by an old scientist in order to kill their enemies and fulfil their goals

Both of them were intended to be perfect beings, and in order to do so, their creators based them of the main cast of Characters (Omega being Zero's original body and Cell having the DNA of every Z fighter). This wasn't enough, however, they needed to fuse with certain beings in order to achieve their full potential (The Dark Elf and the Androids),

To find said beings, they go on a hunt that end up with millions killed.

Not being able to be stopped in time, both end up finding and absorbing said beings, thus becoming perfect and completely unstoppable for a while.

Despite this, they still lost to one of the main characters due to them getting stronger.

Enraged by their defeat, they grow into a larger and weirder version of themselves, which was not enough to get rid of their enemies, and instead created an explosion that made it seem like they were dead.

Turns out they weren't, they instead survived said explosion, and even let them access a stronger form of themselves

their death took multiple people helping the main protagonist during the fight (The remaining 3 of the 4 guardians and the remaining Z Fighters), along side their passed superiors (Goku and X) giving them more strength mentally speaking, which ended in one last attack, killing the both of them for good.

You can also say that their personalities contrast (while Omega is extremely obedient to Dr.Weil and insane, Cell doesn't really follow Gero's motivations and is pretty smug). Despite this contrast, they both have a superiority complex and can get very frustrated when someone shows superiority to them.
