According to Sufism, to know God or to get the identity of God, one must first know himself. As Lalon Shah said know Yourself, the famous philosopher Socrates said know Yourself, the Holy Prophet said that_ He who knows his self knows Allah.
According to various opinions, the human body contains all information. As it is said that what is in the universe is in the human body, so even if our body is meant by this body, in fact no part of our body is called body. It means that if all the parts of our body or a tree are divided into pieces or separated, then no part will be named as tree or any part will not be named as body.
Maulana Kazi Jaber Ahmed gave an important discussion on these issues. On Fakinni Durbar Sharif Keraniganj Dhaka.

সুফিবাদের মতানুসারে আল্লাহ কে চিনতে হলে বা আল্লাহর পরিচয় পেতে হলে সর্বপ্রথম নিজেকে চিনতে হবে। যেমন লালন শাহ বলেন নিজেকে চিনো, বিখ্যাত দার্শনিক সক্রেটিস বলেন নো ইওর সেলফ, মহানবী সাঃ বলেন যে তার নফসকে চিনেছে সেই আল্লাহকে চিনেছে।
বিভিন্ন মতে বলা হয়েছে মানবদেহের ভিতরে রয়েছে সকল তথ্যের ভান্ডার। যেমন বলা হয়ে থাকে যে যাহা আছে বিশ্বব্রহ্মাণ্ডে তাহা আছে মানবদেহে, সুতরাং এই দেহ বলতে আমাদের শরীলকে বুঝালেও আসলে প্রকৃতপক্ষে আমাদের শরীরের কোন অংশকেই কিন্তু দেহ নামে ডাকা হয় না। মানে আমাদের শরীরে অথবা একটি গাছের সবগুলো অংশ যদি টুকরো টুকরো বা আলাদা করা হয় তাহলে সেখানে কোন অংশের নামই গাছ পাবেন না অথবা কোন অংশের নামই দেহ পাবেন না প্রত্যেকটা জিনিসের আলাদা আলাদা নাম আছে আর ওই সবগুলা জিনিসের সমষ্টিকেই দেহ নামে আখ্যায়িত করা হয় মানব দেহ। এ বিষয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আলোচনা করেন মাওলানা কাজী জাবের আহমেদ।
