Finally Baiting A Ridiculous Electric Bill Scammer! - The Hoax Hotel

Today I finally was able to bait an electric bill scammer who was pretending to work for the power company Southern California Edison. Enjoy!

The scam: Scammers pretending to be with a power company will call and say your account is past due and you need to pay them on the spot over the phone. It's a convincing scam as they usually use spoofed numbers and the actual recordings from the legitimate power company. Do not fall for this scam, and hang up if someone is harassing you into paying a bill on the spot.
