Der Hochrhöner (Variante Kuppenrhön), Oktober 2021, Teil 1

Wir wandern den Hochrhöner, welcher in Bad Kissingen (Bayern) startet und durch Hessen nach Bad Salzungen (Thüringen) führt. Der Weg teilt sich in 2 Varianten auf: Die Variante Kuppenrhön und die Langerhön.
Wir haben uns für die Kuppenrhön entschieden.
Die etwa 140 km verlaufen etwa zu Hälfte auf Naturwegen und Pfaden, jedoch sind Teils auch längere Schotter- und Aphaltweg mit im Programm. Uns hat der Weg trozdem super gefallen, da die durchwanderte Natur und Berg-Welt durch seine stellenweise Wildheit und Ursprünglichkeit beeindruckt. Wer sich besseres Wetter als wir aussucht, bekommt auch noch das sagenhafte Panorama der Rhön mit dazu. ;)

We hike the Hochrhöner, which starts in Bad Kissingen (Bavaria) and leads through Hesse to Bad Salzungen (Thuringia). The path is divided into 2 variants: the Kuppenrhön variant and the Langerhön variant.
We have decided to hike the Kuppenrhön.
About half of the 140 km run on nature trails and paths, but some longer gravel and dirt roads are also part of the program. We still really liked the path, as the nature and mountain world we walked through impressed with its wildness and originality in places. If you choose better weather than we do, you will also get the fabulous panorama of the Rhön. ;)
