The "One Guitar" project was created to break down a fundamental barrier in music: the challenge faced by individuals with motor disabilities, particularly those missing an upper limb, who want to play the guitar. The project's mission is to foster musical and social inclusion by developing an innovative assistive technology that makes learning and playing the instrument accessible to everyone.

The solution is a smart, two-part system communicating via Bluetooth. The "Rhythmic Device" features six servomotors to play each of the guitar's strings individually, offering precise rhythmic control. It also includes a seventh motor for sound muting—a feature added based on direct feedback from musicians with disabilities to enable more complex rhythms. The user-operated "Control Interface" includes a touchscreen and a unique foot pedal, which was ingeniously engineered from a common paper punch, showcasing the project's creative problem-solving.

To empower users, the prototype's effectiveness was validated through testing with users with different motor disabilities, whose feedback was crucial for its refinement. The system includes powerful pedagogical features such as a built-in tuner, practical exercises, a custom rhythm programmer, and a chord dictionary. The project's innovation has been recognized with major awards, including 1st Place in Engineering at FEBRACE and 2nd Place in the area of Electronic Engineering at MOSTRATEC.
