The Real Reasons Why the 49ers Lost the Super Bowl

I was wrong! The 49ers had a chance to slay the Chiefs, but instead, they played with their food and lacked the killer instinct that is needed to knock off a giant.

There were many times in this game where the Chiefs were giving the 49ers chances to seal the door shut on them, but the inability to capitalize off of turnovers and make routine plays like Jake Moody's blocked PAT, left Kansas City with the ability to stay in the picture and ultimately win the Super Bowl in over time.

All in all it was a great game, but this seemed like the best opportunity for the Chiefs to be defeated -- next year they will have more experience, address their needs at receiver, and the Chiefs defense led my Steve Spagnola will continue to develop and become even better.
