Holed Coin is the creation of the talented Seville based DJ and producer Jose Carlos Acal Blanco, sharing futuristic and energetic sounds full of ethnic rhythms, drawing influence from downtempo and electronic world music.
As a band, Jose collaborates with the guitar player Antonio Malavé, contrabass player Roberto Barroso and the Cello player/singer María García. Together they create a powerful performing group that tells stories and invokes feelings in the listener. Their music is a fusion of organic and electronic sounds using synthesizers, drum machines, field recordings combined with live instruments and touching vocals.
As a solo DJ or a live band performance, Holed Coin captivated the audience hearts of top venues in Berlin, Rome, Ibiza, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid and many more.
The first EP was released in 2014 by Sonora Records and since then, Holed Coin’s tracks have been published by labels like Bar25, Underyourskin Records, Pipe & Pochet, Lump Records, Cosmic Awakenings, Lndkhn, Earthly Delights, Ready Mix Records, Dream Awake, Lebensfreude Records, Nifu Nifa Records, Heimlich and more.
