Modify T20 7443 to T20 7440. Don't throw your bulbs away!

Did you happen to bought the wrong T20 bulbs or throw away the T20 7443 brake bulbs? You can recycle the T20 7443 bulbs.

In this video we will show you what are the 2 types of T20 halogen bulbs that has confuse quite a number of buyers and how to modify the 7443 bulb to work as a 7440 bulb. This mod will only work if the upper filament of the 7443 is faulty.

T20 halogen bulbs has T20 7440, single filament and T20 7443, double filament.
7440 w21w, amber and warm color that uses for signal light, reverse and DRL ( daytime ruining light).
7443 w21/5w, amber, warm and red color that uses for brake light.
Only the 7443 has dual filament, that is the upper and lower filament. The upper function as the taillights (5w) and the lower function as the brake lights (21w)

How to do it.
1. flip up the 2 pins from the inner of the 7443 bulb.
2. Trim off these 2 pins completely and ensure it is not connected to the outtee pins
3. Simple 2 steps and you are done.
Note : inner 2 pins is 5w powered and the outter 2 pins is 21w powered.
