About disease:-
Hives — also called urticaria (ur-tih-KAR-e-uh) — is a skin reaction that causes itchy welts. Chronic hives are welts that last for more than six weeks and return often over months or years. Often, the cause of chronic hives isn't clear.

Types of hives:-
Acute & chronic


Causes of urticaria:-
Histamine is released for many reasons, including: an allergic reaction, such as a food allergy or a reaction to an insect bite or sting. cold or heat exposure. infection, such as a cold.

Symptoms:-
Swelling of the surface of the skin into red- or skin-colored welts (called wheals) with clearly defined edges. Wheals may get bigger, spread, and join together to form larger areas of flat, raised skin.
