These guitar chords should be the first guitar chords for beginners. We combine these chords with the strumming patterns you have already learned and then we learn one of the most popular songs to play on acoustic guitar.

The guitar chords we learn in this guitar lesson are the G Major chord, C add9 chord and the D Major chord. With these three beginner guitar chords you can play hundreds of popular songs on guitar. At the end of this guitar lesson we will demonstrate a few of the songs you can play.
