When Alexis Sanchez was deemed surplus to requirements at Barcelona, the Chilean was not short of suitors. For the second time in as many years, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger raided La Liga and added Alexis to his ever strengthening and improving squad.

Alexis hit the ground running in England, his first goal being a decisive and important strike against Besiktas in a Champions League Playoff game. But the goals didn't end there and over the course of the season, Alexis would go onto score 28 times for club and country, all the whilst having his own mini goal of the season tournament.

Sanchez doesn't do ordinary goals and he doesn't do them in ordinary occasions either. Whether it's against Premier League powerhouses Liverpool and Manchester City, or in the Champions League, Alexis turned up when it counted and not only scored, but did so in style. En route to directing Arsenal in retaining their FA Cup, Alexis also scored the decivisive penalty in the Copa America final with a sublime Panenka penalty to give Chile their first Copa America victory in 99 years, in their native country no less.

What's next for Alexis? Can he and Arsenal challenge for more domestic honours and push in Europe? Can he beat his wonderful first season in England?
