Boarding Pass Drama getting MORE DRAMATIC? | Disneyland 2020-01-25 pt. 1

The following is part 1 of our trip to Disneyland on Saturday, January 25th, 2020. Stay tuned throughout the rest of the week for further installments of our day.

It’s funny. We go through the intensity of a Friday morning premiere, spending hours and hours waiting for the rope drop to happen. Then the moment comes at 8 am and boarding passes sell out in 3 minutes. For some reason I thought, a week later, that it would be at least a little bit easier. But I’m here to tell you that it’s not easier. I’m here to tell you that the boarding pass drama at rope drop is getting even MORE DRAMATIC!

On this Saturday, a week and a day since Rise of the Resistance opened, it was more difficult to park. Both at Toy Story and Mickey and Friends. Especially Mickey and Friends. I had an unexpected line of cars at Toy Story, while Ronnie said it was a solid 45 minutes just to park once he arrived. And that was at 6:45! Then bag check was backed up at Downtown Disney all the way to the parking lot proper. Incredible.

I did manage to get in before 8 am, but only by about 5 minutes when I was aiming for a 7:40 arrival. Ronnie got in the gate at 8:05, of course already too late for a boarding pass. Knowing this I didn’t get one and we set about having an old fashioned visit to Disneyland.

But I’ll say this, even though we didn’t get boarding passes, I still had the absolute very best time on Main Street hanging out with Katie and Spencer from Best Life and Beyond, Tony from DisneyIRLTV, and Peter and Kitra from Ordinary Adventures. We all got to be witness, again, to some of the happiest, most excited guests at Disneyland you ever will see.

It truly is a beautiful thing, and it’s something I could do for all time. If there’s one thing I love more than Disneyland, it’s guests being happy at Disneyland. Their joy is my joy.

Stay tuned tomorrow as we’ll get in to our proper Disneyland day with a trip to Fantasyland to see some striking changes to the skyline of the land. We’ll also catch a ride with Mr. Toad and the rest of the gang we were with on Main Street. It’s going to be a great show.
