Beauty of this art is its purity which makes it different from other arts. One can derive its age since it has been mentioned in the holy book 'Ramayan' and even in its portrayal it portrays mostly the scenes of Ramayan era or we can say that Ramayan in pictorial form.
But it is very sad to know that today this cultural is on the verge of its extinction . People of our country are forgetting its value and its importance . In one word we can only say that "It is known but still Unknown" .
