Story of my ride with Lachlan Morton near the end of his 14,200km lap of Australia (Sydney arrival)

This is a personal ‘Story Of My Ride’ from the day I joined Lachlan Morton for a short while during his epic record-breaking adventure around Australia.
It's long because I’ve included comments about what Lachy’s ride means to me and why I think it is so much more special than just another ride.
We rode together for 50km – ie. just 0.0035% of his ±14,200km journey – and enjoyed a considerably long (personal) discussion.
There is no interview (alas), but we agreed to talk at length about his experience at a later date, when he wasn’t on the bike doing something no one has ever done at such a pace before.
