DIY Mini R60 Countryman S OEM style Backup Camera Install.
2016 Mini Countryman S R60.
Here I documented the install of an integrated video interface into my factory NAV screen. This would work with the Mini connect screen as well.
I bought the system and back up camera sold by 4x4shop.ca after watching this install video of their system in a different style Mini.

   • DIY How to Install Backup Reverse Cam...

The cost was under $400USD shipped to me with the camera.

Here is the link to their site with the interface and camera pkg. Mine was the CIC 4 pin version.

I installed the back up camera portion with the help of this video starting at the 15:29 mark.

   • Install a Backup Camera in Mini Coope...

It took several hours of removing screws, and parts then I realized I had a CIC connection LCD screen and it would not work with the NBT system that was sent. I contacted 4x4shop.ca and they were very apologetic and overnighted the correct system to me from Canada, which meant they shipped it Friday and I received it on Monday morning and finished the installation.
Overall If you have a CIC system it's way easier than an NBT system, both in how much stuff you have to remove from the car and in the wiring process.
This system has several inputs, so you can wire the output of a dash cam or other video player to one of the inputs and switch inputs on your screen with the included remote control.

If you have any questions, please comment below, I'm happy to answer any questions I know the answers to.
