The Taliban have arrested a man who took down a Pakistani flag from a relief truck.

According to Afghan media reports, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujabid said that a man who had taken down the Pakistani flag from a relief truck at Torkham had been arrested and disarmed.

He clarified that no one is allowed to insult any flag, insulting the flag means insulting any nation.

Earlier, Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said those who removed the Pakistani flag from the truck would be severely punished.

"We condemn the removal of Pakistani flags from the truck and the entire Taliban leadership is angry over the incident, so those involved will be arrested soon and punished severely," he said.

Reacting to a viral video of a flag being taken off a truck from Pakistan, Zabihullah Mujahid said he would try to prevent such an incident from happening again.

Zabihullah Mujahid termed the hoisting of the Pakistani flag on the aid truck from Pakistan to Afghanistan on the Pak-Afghan Torkham border as the worst incident.
