Well, I just had to swap out my sewage pump after exactly 5 yrs operation in a single family home sewage pump situation. Pump handled all effluent water and such coming from a 4 person household.
I had a back up pump in stock so there was little trauma to speak of caused by the failure. I am now going to order a new one for use hopefully after another 5 or more years.
The pump performed flawlessly during its operational life. The first one I purchased was $132 in Sept 2014. The second one I purchased in Dec 2016 for $111.
The cost now is $166 for the RPP50 Wayne pump.
Purchased to use as a sewage ejector pump for the bathroom in my basement. My old pump died (got a clog, which burned it out). Went with this model because I use a Wayne Pump for my primary sump pit - that one has worked great... hopefully this one will too!
Install was straight forward and it did work when I plugged it in. Cannot beat Wayne products for the price!
I contemplated buying a high end pump after coming to conclusion everything is junk anymore, why pay top dollar for it. It has been working for last 7 months without any issues.
This pumps my gray water into leach field. I dont think any pump will last in this environment for more then few years. So for price going to change when system is pumped every couple years.
Had to replace a 22-year old completely dead [Barnes] pump, servicing only one basement bathroom; check valve probably not working for last 10-years.
Obviously this was/is a messy job (likely the reason for the common recommendation to replace every 10 years or so - BEFORE it completely dies). Once the old pump & parts were out of the way, the new install of this Wayne pump was very easy.
