Designing templates for the

Earlier this month, a friend asked for some advice about designing templates for the Cricut, so I got to work on Inkscape. The awesome thing is that you can use the same templates for laser cutting, and if you put some extra work you could use them as a basis for a 3d model. You could of course just print them on paper, glue them on card and cut them by hand. Versatile much?

Most of the principles also apply to Adobe Illustrator, but realistically if you bought that you probably don't need my help using it :)
