Is your IVF failing despite having high-quality embryos? Are your embryos struggling to implant? The solution could be – Laser Assisted Hatching!
Welcome to our YouTube channel!
In this video, our embryologist explains in simple terms what Laser-Assisted Hatching (LAH) is, how it works, and when it is recommended during IVF treatment. If you're going through repeated IVF failures or facing implantation issues, this video is a must-watch.
🧬 What is Laser Assisted Hatching?
Laser-assisted hatching is an advanced embryology technique where a laser is used to gently thin or create an opening in the zona pellucida — the outer protective layer of the embryo. This helps the embryo hatch more easily and attach to the uterine lining for successful implantation.
👶 Why is hatching important in IVF?
Naturally, an embryo needs to break out of this zona layer to implant in the uterus. But in some cases, this outer shell becomes too thick or hard, making it difficult for the embryo to hatch on its own — and leading to implantation failure.
💡 In this video, you’ll learn:
🔹 Why some embryos fail to implant
🔹 What is the zona pellucida and why it matters
🔹 How laser-assisted hatching helps with implantation
🔹 Which patients benefit the most from this procedure
🧪 When do we recommend Laser-Assisted Hatching?
✅ When the zona pellucida appears too thick during observation
✅ In cases of repeated IVF failure, despite good quality embryos
✅ When frozen-thawed embryos are being used, which may have hardened outer layers
✅ In women with poor implantation history or of advanced maternal age
🎯 Could this be right for you?
If you or your doctor suspect that your embryos are struggling to implant due to a thick or tough outer shell, laser-assisted hatching might significantly increase your chances of success in IVF.
💬 “Laser hatching is a small step in the lab but can make a big difference in your IVF outcome.”
