Health Care in Brazil

Our 5-year-old daughter needed surgery. We were nervous about the health care in Brazil. We didn’t know what to expect but wanted to make sure our daughter was well taken care of. We are permanent residents of Brazil so we could use the free public health care but we decided to pay for private care. This was the best decision. We spent extra time doing research and meeting with different doctors. We found a doctor and hospital we really liked.
Camila had one enlarged tonsil that was making it difficult to eat, breath and swallow. She needed her tonsils removed. A tonsillectomy is a very common procedure done all the time. However, it was a big deal for us because no one in our family has ever had a surgery before and we were also worried about the health care in Brazil. Everything turned out fine. The surgery went well and Camila is doing great. Video 119
