In this week's episode of The DMV Business Show with Otto Sevilla we have Thomas Miche, President and Owner of Miche Pest Control with several locations in the Maryland and Northern Virginia area and expanding! They are a top rated family owned and operated pest control company. Tom grew up and spent most of his childhood in Minnesota, doing cross-country, playing soccer, and the trumpet. He ended up selling security systems door to door which he said was tough, he moved on to selling DISH Network, and then pest control all while relocating to different states for each sales role. He did not love selling door to door and became a pest control technician, then a service manager, then a regional manager and started opening many new branches and leading the operations growth and in one year went from 5 people to 80 people in the Philadelphia market. He was never home, always traveling to different markets and scaling them. All of the traveling was getting tough with a young family with small children at home. He had to find a way to stop all of the traveling which led to the founding of his own company, Miche Pest Control in 2019! All of his industry experience has been invaluable and in just three short years they have had amazing growth opening several locations, and shares how they have been able to do it! Tom explains the importance of online reviews and how they systematize it, having earned hundreds of stellar reviews. He mentions the power of having a plan and creating value for your customers!
